Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of central Maryland with views of the Catoctin Mountains, Maryland National Golf Club’s picturesque 18-hole, par 71 layout provides an unforgettable golfing experience.  Designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Hills, Maryland National takes full advantage of the dramatic terrain changes and wetlands surrounding the course.  From long, rolling fairways to magnificent holes carved out of natural wooded lowlands and various water hazards, each hole of this 6811-yard layout provides a unique challenge sure to inspire any golfer.  Just play one round at Maryland National and we guarantee the memories will bring you back time and time again. 

Course Facilities

Our 13,780 square foot clubhouse is the ideal place to relax with your friends after your round. Situated on one of the highest points on the property overlooking the 18th hole and providing beautiful views of nearly every corner of the course, our elegant clubhouse will be the perfect conclusion to a first-class golf experience.  Club amenities include a full-service golf shop, tavern, corporate meeting space and locker rooms. Home to one of the best practice facilities in the area, Maryland National Golf Club is proud to offer our guests the complete practice facility.  With three tiers of bentgrass teeing area, a practice bunker, short game area, and a 4,200 square foot putting green, Maryland National provides our guests with the means to improve every facet of their game.  If you’re going to practice, why not practice on the same conditions you will encounter on the golf course? 

Course Policies

  • Only non-metal spiked shoes are permitted
  • All shirts must have collars except ladies golf specific collarless shirts
  • Shorts for ladies and gentleman must be of Bermuda style and length
  • The following are not permitted: denim in any form, short shorts, cut-offs, tee shirts, tank tops, spandex, drawstring or athletic sweat suits, swimming attire
  • Proper footwear must be worn on the course

From the North
 Take Route 15 South. Take Exit 13B West Patrick Street. The off ramp will merge onto Route 40 West. Follow 40 West for about 6 miles and turn left onto Hollow Road. At the stop sign, turn right to stay on Hollow Road. Follow for about a mile. The course entrance is on the left.
From the South
Take I-270 North to I-70 West in Frederick. Follow I-70 for about 4 miles to Exit 49. Turn left at the end of the exit onto Alt 40 West towards Middletown. Follow for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Hollow Road just after the Sunoco Station. Follow Hollow Road for about 3.5 miles. The course entrance is on the left.
From the East
 Take I-70 West towards Frederick. Follow I-70 to Exit 49. Turn left at the end of the exit onto Alt 40 West towards Middletown. Follow for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Hollow Road just after the Sunoco Station. Follow Hollow Road for about 3.5 miles. The course entrance is on the left.
From the West
Take I-70 East to Exit 42 Myersville. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 17 North. Stay on 17 North through Myersville. At the stop sign, turn right on Route 40 East towards Frederick. Go about 3.5 miles and turn right on Hollow Road. The course entrance is on your right.
